Most Recent Layouts

Nina Scraps is our sponsor over at The Shaker Box this month and I love the artistic, grungy feel of the papers I selected from her designs.

Nina Scraps: Art Grunge 1; Get Funky; Grunge It Up; Say It Family. Stitching and "fiber" from Vicki Stegall, Michael. Sun from Thao Cosgrove, Earth Vessel. Boxed In, Set One from Paint the Moon, Angie Manning. Grass from Weeds & Wildflowers, Roughing It.

I've recently gotten back to the gym regularly and it feels good! I have done water aerobics, Zumba and yoga. Of course I spend some time on the elliptical as well. I plan to try gliding and kick boxing soon. However, I can only wish the picture in the following layout was me!

Fin

Journaling reads: You got a haircut and said you wanted a “fin”. When Sarah was done cutting your hair you were upset that you didn’t have a fin so she spiked it up for you and one of the other ladies sprayed it for you. You didn’t like the thought of being laughed at and made me wash it right after we got home!

Nina Scraps is the sponsor this month at The Shaker Box! In this layout I used papers from her Get Funky and Art Grunge collections. "Frame" is from her Overlays Volume 1. "Embellishment" is from Vera Lim, A Little Magic. Fonts are LD Beatnik and DJB Cinda.

My Latest Kit - Arts & Crafts

I have a new kit for sale at The Shaker Box. I think I'm improving. This one is not exactly my style - with the ribbons and flowers, but I do love the colors (yes, I even added a little pink in there), the big swirls, the "painted" papers, the stitched felt circle cluster and the word art. The sun is fun too and also the gradient mask.

No longer in the Sky(bus)

From their website:

Skybus Airlines will cease all operations effective Saturday, April 5. Skybus struggled to overcome the combination of rising jet fuel costs and a slowing economic environment. These two issues proved to be insurmountable for a new carrier. We deeply regret the impact this decision will have on our employees and their families, customers, vendors, suppliers, airport officials and others in the cities in which we have operated. Our financial condition is such that our Board of Directors felt it had no choice but to cease operations. Passengers holding reservations for Skybus flights scheduled to depart on or after Saturday, April 5, 2008 should contact their credit card companies to arrange to apply for a refund. More information for customers and others will be made available on the Skybus web site (www.skybus.com) as it becomes available. All flights for Friday, April 4 will be completed. Passengers holding reservations on flights for Friday, April 4 should check in for their flight at a Skybus kiosk at the airport instead of the Skybus website.

We are so bummed! Our family has seven tickets to fly to Virginia for Taylor's graduation in June and then the four of us were headed to the beach later in the summer! Road trips suck! I hope we are able to get our money back! I'm glad we are not "stranded" anywhere right now. I was really hoping to Skybus a bunch of family members to Wilmington in October too!
